Yes, Direct CD works! The only thing that has changed is that they have taken out support for Take2. Does anybody actually use that as their backup app? Their explanation is that it is an out of date app because people have huge HD's nowadays. Makes no difference to me but it's about time on this update!!!

Thanks. I used to use Take Two under Windows 98 and it was very good and easy to use. Due to the recent problems(Direct CD) and now, no more Take Two, I have switched to Ghost 2002 (7.0) and it has worked okay....but I have not had to restore XP....yet..... So we will see, once that happens... I did verify the integrity of my Ghost backups and those did come out okay.....

this sucks.. easy cd creator doesn't recognize my burner anymore. :)

i'm gonna stick with nero.

Since I did the update all the apps except for scandisk show their version as 5.02 as they did before the update. Scandisk is reporting 5.1 is that right. The reason I ask is I still cant format a cd under directcd. It gets about 1/2 way then chucks up an error.
