red_house
I wish to dual-boot "Win98 SE" and "Win XP". I am aware that "98" needs to be installed first and therein lies the nub of my problem.I only have a "OEM rescue disk" and I am a bit worried that formatting the HD for "98" will mean that I will not be able to use the rescue disk to reinstall "XP". The contents of the recovery disk are as follows ;$OEM$ ; DOCS ; DOTNETFX ; I386 ; SUPPORT ; VALUE ADD ; AUTORUN ; README ; SETUP ; SPNOTES ; WIN 51 ; WIN 51IC and WIN51IC.SP1. Can anyone give me the definitive answer to my problem as the manufacturer's helpline is useless - a "Premium Line" on which I get, "All of our operatives are busy at the moment, please hang on", at that cost...No! bledd
that sounds like a normal xp disc with added extras for the mamufacturer (OEM folder)if its bootable, it will work fine with no problems after formatting
red_house
Thanks for the reassurance bledd. The CD is bootable - it's the one I use to make "nLite" installation discs. Cheers!
