rgreen83 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Hmm seems weird microsoft would mail you a cd with a bad boot sector.
Jazkal Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 When rebuilding my x64 XP cd, I just used the 32bit boot sector, it works fine for me.
Jito463 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I don't know how that worked, then. Because the old bootloader looks like this:SETUPLDR.BINBOOTFIX.BINI386The new bootloader looks like this:SETUPLDR.BINBOOTFIX.BINI386AMD64Odd
Innocent Devil Posted May 1, 2005 Author Posted May 1, 2005 Thax so just edit the old boot.bin & apped AMD64 along with I386 , isn't it ?BTW Does this can also be applied for 32 bit ver to check alternate Dir. for the "setupldr.bin" file for boot from CD ?
