hatred Posted April 25, 2005 Share Posted April 25, 2005 im haveing some problem with my cd rom.. if anyone can figure this one out. then i open my cd rom tray weather there is a cd in or not soon as i close it i get a cd looking icon next to my mouse and it blinks. it will not stop intill i shutdown or reboot. i checked out the event veiwer and it shows this under warning"An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom3 during a paging operation."im not sure when it happend i wasint aware i just happened to look and it was there .. my burner doesint do this just the cd rom and the burner is master the cd rom is slave. any idea's on how to fix this ??? or if its not hooked up correctly?it came hooked up that way custom built AMD so i wouldint have a clue if it wasint hooked up correctly. hatred Posted April 25, 2005 Author Share Posted April 25, 2005 i might of figured it out .. my burners the master the cdrom is slave but i noticed that the cd rom is running off the hardrive. cd roms run at 33 where a hardrive runs at 100 to 133. could this be the problem ??
