sfonvill Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 I want to install Photoshop 7 to all workstations inside a particular OU, but it seems it isn't possible to install it using the .exe, because when adding the install it requires a .msiAnyone an idea?
InTheWayBoy Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 You'll have to find a way to convert the EXE install into an MSI install...Group Policy Software Installs can only be done using an MSI.Now you can accomplish this, but I have to say with a complicated application such as Photoshop, it's going to be a very hard time for you. I don't have any links right now, but there are several tools that may aid you in this process.I've tried several times before with lesser programs and usually just gave up...it's a pain in the rear! At least for me...
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 You can use WinInstall LE 2003 to convert ANY installation to an .msi installation. I hope this helps...

Older versions use installshield installers which is known. Here's some help athough its about Photoshop 8. http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=265
