Running widgets without 3rd party software

I've tried to do a search on the forums, but either this question hasn't been posed/solved, or I'm just really bad at search

What I'd like to do is incorporate fancy schmancy visual styles, and objects to my unattended DVD. So far, I've only started by replacing my uxtheme.dll. However, I'd like to start adding objects/widgets to the installations. My main caveat is that I do not wish for the DVD to be loaded with 3rd party software such as DesktopX, or Konfabulator in order to run these widgets. Are there ways to get around this and simply copy some COM/DLL files and thus be able to run widgets w/o any of these?
