krismark Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Hi,I have a workstation running XP Pro, connected to an DSL Router ( No Domain Invoved). What I need to do is create a user, and for this user disable web browsing from IE & Explorer. The user still needs FTP and Lan access( so false DNS Setting are not an option.) Ive Looked at Group Policy but this effects all users. Thanks in Advance.
oftentired Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Specify a bogus proxy server. Use a policy to disable access to Internet Options > Connections (tab)
D.Celt Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Add the user to iexplore.exe's security panel & set a deny permission for read & execute. Not sure if that'll work, but it's worth a try i think.
