ripken204 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 i have firefox and for the last few weeks all of the history, cookies, and password/user names have been getting cleared about every day and it is getting annoying typing in my user name for all the stuff i have. how can i fix this, i looked through the options and cant seem to find anything.
DigeratiPrime Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 are you using CCleaner? That app can clear that infomation.Otherwise:Does this happen everytime you close Firefox, or reboot the computer? Or is it a random crash or bug that is causing it?
ripken204 Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 it just happend randomly, i dont have ccleaner, if i leave the comp on it will still happend, and it doesnt happen when i close firefox, and there is no crashes
DigeratiPrime Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) Are you getting the profile selection window when you (re)start Firefox? That happens when it does not properly close. You can terminate the process with the Task Manager. Are you using Firefox 1.0.2? If not, backup you bookmarks.html file, uninstall firefox, delete your profile folders, install the newest version, and copy back your bookmarks. That way you are up-to-date with a clean profile.Also its possible you may have some extension causing the problem?Also consider searching the Mozillazine Forums for potential answers. http://www.mozillazine.org/ Edited April 12, 2005 by DigeratiPrime
