Strange Problem with integrating XP SP2

hya all,

i'm trying to slip an XP VLK english (october 2001 edition) with SP2 but with no succses.

i tried with nLite, i tried the old fashion way, i tried several different computers to run the procedure of slipstreaming, and i keep getting errors just before i starts to slip, one is fatel error and the other is that update.exe has generated an error.

i'm using a legite XP VLK CD and a network install SP2.

the funny wierd thing is that slipping SP1 goes without a hitch, and this leads me to think that the VLK version i have might be bad, or it just doesn't like SP2 (like i do).

any one encounterd this in their slipping ways?

what is wrong with my CD?!?!

it's really wierd that SP1 slipstreams alright and SP2 gives error even b4 it starts slipstreaming.

Did you try slipstreaming SP2 without slipstreaming SP1?

i think that the problem is with sp2. the sp2 kit is broken. so u can download it again or order the cd from m$.

it doesn't matter if u slipstream sp1 or not. if sp1 and sp2 kits are fine also the xp cd everything will just go fine.....

i forgot to mention, i use this SP2 after i install my nLite xpSP1 cd on a machine and it works fine, so i don't think the problem resides in the sp2 itself.

Did you try slipstreaming SP2 without slipstreaming SP1?

yep, same output. all i got was a big fat error...

so like i said find a new sp2 slipstream first with your xp cd and then slipstream ryanvm's pack which contains the last patches and then nlite your cd. at least that is the way i did it an it works great!!!!
