April 5, 200521 yr I have some dell servers and they have raid 5 on them, I did a ghost image with ghostcast server edition 8.0.0.984 and was able to restore to a raid drive just fine.
April 5, 200521 yr Author so say one HD gets corrupt, I can use a DVD image of my current raid setup, boot from that back onto a new working raid ?
April 5, 200521 yr I've done .this many, many times. In fact, I had one client that actually Ghosted several of their servers every single day. You can either Ghost the partition, or Ghost the disk.Of course, Ghost could care less that its RAID 5--it sees your drive array as one disk. You don't have to worry about restoring to one drive, or the other. Now, as far as fault tolerance goes, you would be better off having a spare drive to replace a failed one than relying on Ghost.
