Bad boy Warrior Posted April 3, 2005 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Ok i installled SP1 with XP pro as my client the bugger of a problem is i can do anything when the FireWall is off but not a lot when its on. I have already tried opening these ports (53,1155) and others. The problem is i cant get my client to login in fast as it use to (turning off the firewall resolves all issues) so anyone kindly enough has the answer to this stupid problem? Also i had the problems stated in event viewer but i have checked the good old MS KB but it tell me to check the DNS settinsg which are 100% correct - as i said i think i need to know which ports i need open to allow my client PCs allow access to my server.Thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
valter Posted April 4, 2005 Share Posted April 4, 2005 you should run security configuration wizard after installation of SP1 ... sec config wizard will discover your server roles and open neccessary ports (i hope it should) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
