Norton Detects Wpi As A Virus?

I have been meaning to ask this for a very long time.

WPI script is recognized by Norton Antivirus as a malicious Script?

Why oh Why?

WPI is very invasive to the registry to make sure that even if re-boots happen it can still finish installing the apps it has been told to.

So iI guess it COULD fall into the malicous category.

What we need to do is to find out a way to abort wpi once it has been started.

Have you ever tried to stop it during the install proccess. Almost impossible.

yes i have tried to abort it

I made a script to pskill the progress

then remove the registry entries

hopefully symantec will update their definition
