Tungsram Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I'm attempting to upgrade a harddrive, (to a larger one), with a highly proprietary application on it. It has WinXP and I atttempted to Ghost it to another physical drive but Ghost failed stating a bad sector.Scandisk at boot with sector recovery hangs at 19% and will not finish. I cannot "format and reinstall" as there is no method of reinstalling the application.Any suggestions on how to fix this sector/block issue without formatting would be greatly GREATLY appreciated.Thanks in advance.
Tungsram Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 Additional information...Even with the bad sector everything is working fine. I'm not concerned about any data on that sector, I simply want it marked as bad so that Ghost can image it for me.
