cron0s Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Hi Guys,I notice that under "Sharing and Security" when right-clicked on any folder. I'm not able to set individual permission to files or folders anymore. When I was using Win2000, it is ok. My PC is standalone, not on Domain. There are also a few user accounts on the same PC. Any ideas, guys?

ravashaak Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I don't know why MS enables Simple File Sharing by default. It's merely led to many many wasted hours of troubleshooting worldwide. - Ravashaak
KAndle Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 the same reason they hide file extensions by default. microsoft thinks we are simple.
ravashaak Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Yeah. File extensions aren't important anyways. - Ravashaak
