BoardBabe Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 Still nothing Could this be a port forwarding/NAT/Firewall/Router issue?
brian873 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 can you ping the server ?also have you checked the ports that need to be open for the time service ? I think of the top of my head it is port 123, but please check.hail hail
KAndle Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Haven't you diabled the firewall and tried it yet? Hardware firewalls will block many service ports. I do not know what port to open.
BoardBabe Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 Bollox!Sorry I have been a n00b all the way. The problem was that I had enabled port forwarding of port 123 to my local IP, but forgot to OPEN for traffic on port 123 also, as all ports below 1000 is default closed in my router. The problem was just to open port 123
brian873 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 glad its working amaziing the thiings youu remember !hail hail
KAndle Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 haha my time service wasn't working when you started posting so I went through somethings to get it working again. Mostly my problem was I reenabled the service and it didn't start until I rebooted which I rarely do these days... Anyway enjoy the day...
