N1K
Hi all,I need to install SP2 on several network machines which are very far from my location and the only way is to install it remotely..The problem is that after the SP2 is installed and restart is made you'll not be able to connect to that PC 'cause the firewall is turned on by default..How can I avoid this problem? Can I use some switch or reg key which will prevent Windows Firewall from starting after SP2 installation finishes?Thx..

KAndle
The following command will disable the firewall. netsh firewall set opmode disableYou can create a batch file with that line in it your users have admin access. You can have them run it after reboot or put it in their logon script. There is a registry entry you could set instead before the install but I am not familiar with that method.
