Currently NIC detection on my CD takes about a minute while it enumerates all the INF files and find network device plug and play IDs. I want to use the [NetCards] section of winbom.ini to speed this up. My Winbom.ini is attached but from looking at WinBom.log, factory.exe is not using the NetCards section. It's enumerating all the NICs anyway. Anyone got this working? I'm using Winpe2004 with XPSP2.

there have been many tries to get network install speed up.Its not the time for enumerating the inf files that makes Network installing slow, you can try devcon.exe and will see that it takes the same time.

what really speeds up is an infcache.1 file in the inf folder.

to generate this file use sherpya's infcachebuild.exe.
