Delete Font From Command Line?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a way to remove a font from a Windows XP computer using the command line?

my guess would be.

Start Run

CMD

cd\windows\fonts

do a dir to find the name of the font you want to del

and then do DEL font.ttf where font is the name of the file

for example to delete the Avant Garde Demi BT (TrueType) font I would type

DEL AVGARDD.TTF and it would delete it.

To get the font file names go to your windows font folder in explorer and view files in details, it will give you the font name and filename too.

Good luck.
