First, i dunno if this fits somewhere else, could a moderator/administrator please move this if it's the wrong place?

My question;

UDP port 18002, what is it, where is it, what does it do and is there anything i'll need to know about it? Stumbled over it today :-)

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

its a port, not specific to any program nor trojan etc.

i wonder how u came up with the number

there are ports on your computer for internet purposes. Internet Explorer usually uses port 80, ftp clients use port 21 etc. there are 65536 ports..

anymore than this info u need to learn other stuff.

I would suggest you use a packet sniffer like Ethereal and WinPcap to sniff the traffic on the machine where you ran across port 18002.

It does not appear to be registered to any one application. Using a sniffer will help you to track the traffic on this port.

Good luck.
