The company, a division of media giant Time Warner's America Online subsidiary, said Thursday that the browser, dubbed Netscape 8, will better protect people from growing online fraud threats such as phishing. Over the last several months, the browser has been available only to a small number of individuals involved in a limited beta test. Now anyone can download the software via the company's Web site.Full story - ZDnet

prathapml
i dont like it at all<{POST_SNAPBACK}>totally, lol.Its interface (by default) is very badly designed. Of course you can change it, or maybe they will change it before final release, but STILL shipping a browser like that, is brain-dead. I was happy that netscape had been resurrected, when I heard of v8.0.Now I'm having second thoughts, about whether there's anything to be happy about at all..... They looked more decent in the grave. prathapml
Here's the link to get Netscape 8.x from http:http://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape8/engl.../windows/win32/I hate having to download the downloadr which then fetches the installer XPIs on an incremental basis... One'd rather download the actual 13 MB installer in one go, and install from it...
