Orus Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Hi everybody!I've heard that Motherboards ASUS P4P800 (I have the deluxe vers. ) have the drivers for the S-ATA controllers installed directelly on the southbridge...Does this mean I won't have to install the S-ATA drivers to make my WinXP recognise the Harddrive connected through it? Thus, can I avoid to add them in my Unattended WinXP install cd?one more thing...how about this issue applied on another o.s. (linux)?Thanx
Astalavista Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I have the same motherboard well almost mine is the p4800 e deluxeeven without sata drivers it will work bec. our is a intel chipset.Windows xp comes with those drivers. Well SP2 does. So if u slipstreamsp2 u dont need SATA drivers.
