WinXP Firewall and ICQ File Transfers

When the WinXP Firewall is turned on, I cannot transfer files on icq, send or recieve that is.

Anyone know what I can enter in the Advanced settings to get around this?


just a guess but worth a try since no1 else responded...

1. go to control panel

2. network connections

3. right-click your connection, choose properties

4. advanced tab, settings... button (bottom right)

5. add a service, call it ICQ, address login.icq.com, port 5190 TCP

Easy Solution, turn the XP firewall of and get zone alarm....

Then it will all work great,

not a tuff answer....XP firewall sucks, it blocks files being sent thro messanger....turn it off and get Zone alarm Pro!
