synthetikdreamzz Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 My friend bought a computer from someone with the intention of her kids using it for homework. The computer was rammed full of dialers, porn pop-ups, spyware and all kinds of nasty things. I did the only thing I could think of to help....I formatted the hard drive. When I tried to reinstall Windows XP it gives me the error messageFile\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. Error code 4096Can anybody please tell me why this is happening, and how can I install XP?Many thanks
