change password at first logon

i want to set the administrator password as a default password but when the administrator logon the first time he must change his password and when he changed the password it must be set that it never wil be expire

who can help me...?

if your looking for something basic, try net user, if u want 2 do something more professional/fance try an autoit script calling net user with an input box for the password

WMI / ADSI is the way to go...

just go to MS site, script repository and u will find it...

and a question for MCT: Autoit is the "same" as sendkeys in vbscripting... does it have the same downsides as sendkeys? as in I (the user) cannot change focus on the Windows while the script is running or it will loose focus from where it was?

I've worked on something similar.

In my ase, i anted to log on with an administrator account (not the local one) than in my runonceex change the local administrator password to a random one and to dump it on my network.
