Could just do it the lazy way. Create the new Boot.ini as boot.new. Copy to HD.

Run .CMD file

@Echo Off

Attrib -r -h -s Boot.ini

Rename boot.ini to boot.old

Copy Boot.new to boot.ini

Attrib +r +h +s Boot.ini

Pause

yeh i have read the post but the problem with me is that

i am also having windows me and windows 2000 pro already installed on my pc

in that case what shall i do.

acc. to you , you are telling me that backup the old bootini and copy the new one.

but what about the me and 2000's boot entries.
