Dynaletik Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 When I boot my PC, CHKDSK runs every time.It checks drive F: and G: but that are my Music and my Download drives.Even if I reinstall Win XP CHKDSK is executed. How can I deactivate it?
Marsden Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 It runs at bootup because the "dirty bit" is marked.Run CHKDSK /R until it comes up clean with no issues. If you don't use the /R or /F switches it will run but fix and repair nothing... thus running every time you boot.
Dynaletik Posted February 4, 2005 Author Posted February 4, 2005 Thank you Marsden. That solved my problem.
