Frequently used program in winxp

from what i understand, winxp will detect a number of time an exe file open and add it to frequently used program in start menu.

because i use service.msc many times, winxp keeps adding this .msc to frequently used program in start menu. I don't want it there any more.

1-how can i add it to "exclusion list" so that it won't be add to frequently used program in the future.??

i also have another question.

2-When you right click on an empty desktop, you will see "new" along with "property". In this "new", you will new folder, briefcase, and file.

where this information stores at in a registry.?
