markthommo
Hi all,The other day i rebuilt my PC. As part of my uni project I'm making an application to teach people to build PCs.Anyway,i've installed Motherboard Monitor 5 to view the case and CPU temps. They're 25*C and 39*C respectively.I know 39* is safe, but what is someone with similar specs running at?I have:Jetway P4X400DAZ mobo512Mb 400Mhz DDR RAMPentium4 2400 2.4Sapphire ATI Radeon 9550 256Mb Graphicstwo IDE hard disks. A Maxtor 60Gb 7200rpm and a slower older Seagate 13Gb.two optical drives: one a Samsung CD-writer/DVD-ROM combo, the other a Samsung 52x CD-Writer/16x DL DVD-Writer/everything combo.I have a case fan in the side, and its all running as its supposed to from the factory (ie no overclocking!)Just wanted to know whats the usual temp for a P4 2.4 in this situation or similarCheers allMT
FAT64
The temperature will vary according to how "hard" the processor is working, but I've known temperatures up to the mid 40s without any harm to the processor.
horsecharles
That's very nice-- & one/two of those degrees are attributable to MM itself....I range 36-43... i've got dual fans in (lower)front, one on (upper)side, one pci-slot exhaust over the vidcard, one fan in (upper)back reversed... mobo stands vertically against right side.Asus 2GB 400Mhz DDR RAM Pentium4 2.4(slightly overclocked) Sapphire ATI Radeon 9200 128Mb 4 hard disks 7200rpm: WD, Maxtor, Seagate 40-120gb dvd, burner(yes, uata cotroller card<g>)
