Hello everybody. Ive made an XP CD with XPCREATE and have been using it without any problem.

1. Then I wanted to add my own bmp to winntbbu.dll, but when I searchec the i386 folder, there was no winntbbu.dl_ but I found WINNTBBU.DLL

Ive modified the WINNTBBU.DLL and put it in the i386 folder without the makecab process.

2. But then, window setup complained that it cannot copy winntbbu.dll as it was not the proper image file???

Can anypne help with these two points?

Thanks.

This is what you need to do. First delete the wintbbu.dll in your i386. With your modify winntbbu you have to change the checksum using modifype and the compress it using makecab. Dl Astalavista color changer inside there you will find a batch file that will modifype and makecab for you.

People having a the problem error can't copy winntbbu.dll:

Solution: look for a winntbbu.dll in your U.A. I386 Folder REMOVE IT.

U shldn't have a Winntbbu.dll in your U.A. I386 Folder. You shld only have

Winntbbu.dl_

delete your winntbbu.dll

u dont need it

u only need a winntbbu.dl_

y bec. it is compressed a fraction of the size of the uncompressed version

complete ignorance :P

Though it may be proven that it works, it just isn't true.

Setup determines that file is compressed with a marker of _x in the txtsetup.sif line. It doesn't even look for an uncompressed version untill it can't find it.

The problem with being an improper image, is not using modifype to correct the headers and checksum.
