Dr. Mac
Dear Forum MembersIf I went to the Microsoft web-site today, and downloaded IE SP1, would it INCLUDE all the security patches and updates that have been released ... OR would it be just the same as insatalling the version I've got on a six month old PC Magazine cover disk CD ???In other words, does Microsoft update their IE downloads each time a security fix is released? Thanks for your replies.Best wishes,Dr. Mac
m4dh0
no microsoft does not update the IE download with each security update so it would be identical to the 6 month old version
ravashaak
m4dh0 is correct. IE SP1 will still need to be updated. However, I *think* you can just download the newest IE cumulative security update to complete patching IE. However, bear in mind I have not verified this. So, if I were you, I'd test it before assuming patching is complete. - Ravashaak

B) Thanks again for your prompt replies. With my best wishes ...Dr. Mac
