Lunar Leaper Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 What's the deal with Futuremark?I just don't get it. Download an application and check how vast your computer is?
Mekrel Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Well it is good to see the performance increases when new hardware comes out, ive used it a few times but just to compare with others who have the same spec to see that everything is running 100% ok, but i aint someone who trys to keep bumping it up to gloat.
prathapml Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Its for "BenchMarking".Just like how back in school, your teachers gave you tests to see how well you scored. The higher the scores, the better you were supposed to be compared to the rest of the class. ( not that it was always a good way to rank people, but there's no better way as yet.... )
