christopher Posted January 18, 2005 Author Posted January 18, 2005 ok now i have one in my start menu and on my desktop.
Kashim Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Unfortunately you can't simply delete the Recycle Bin from the desktop. The easiest way to get rid of it is by using Microsoft's Tweak UI power tool. You can get it here http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c...wertoySetup.exeThe download is ~147k and gives you access to a lot of 'hidden' features. Once installed, simply start it up and go to the Desktop section and remove the checkmark next to the Recycle Bin. Please note that you must have Windows XP SP1 or later for the above program.
-= MD =- Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Use this to remove it from your desktopWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}]
jrios Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I moved it to my control panel. Figured if I ever use it I can just go the extra step.
