dawvi Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Hello. I have a question and thought maybe someone here would know if it can be done or if its even possible.I was wondering if there was a way to customize or edit the desktop info that earlier and beta versions of windows displays on the bottom right corner.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop And create or modify the DWORD “PaintDesktopVersion” and give it the value “1” that is the info that i am refering to. what i am looking to do is to have some other info displayed there such as machine name and maybe a short info from a txt file.any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.thanks and have a good one.
