thracx Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 I thought others might like a good example of a complete unattended.txt file. I took a decent amount of time commenting the Components section using ref.htm, so it would be easy for anybody to decide what they would like to include/exclude in their WinXP installation. I hope people find it useful! This file is designed to be used during an unattended installation of WinXP-Pro-SP2 (and designed to be viewed using a fixed-width font, with word-wrap disabled)(2005-01-10_23:50: File has been updated - a minor error, "dtcnetwork" didn't have an associated "=off")(2005-01-11_01:43: File has been updated - a few minor changes and some additional notes added to the Components section)WinNT.sif
Alanoll Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 man....I like the components section....however, it should be noted, not ALL of the components work for some reason.besides that I dunno why people would need to see a WINNT.SIF file.http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/examples.htmhttp://unattended.msfn.org/xp/reference.htmDetails most common sections, excluding the firewall I believe.
thracx Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 man....I like the components section....The component section is really the only need for my attached file, but I figured that I might as well post the whole thing since its (mostly?) complete.....however, it should be noted, not ALL of the components work for some reason.I've heard this, but I don't know which ones are questionable? Do you?
MAVERICKS CHOICE Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Not a bad compilation, few items in the componets section that may be handy. Good work
