i linked to its page at newgrounds because the author left his comments. ;)

Watch it first though as to not ruin the ending.

I hope you Half-Life 2 fans out there like it! And if you're not a HL2 fan, you probably WON'T understand it. ;)

Update: Reading all your reviews, I believe an explanation is in order. =D

Here is the storyline for this movie:

It is in the dead of cs_italy:source winter. Chickens are desperately trying to keep warm. Dr. Breen, feeling hungry and a bit devious, goes outside to get a chicken for dinner. Back at his doorstep, the chickens, already in a ball (for warmth), attack for revenge. Breen foils their attack and finds it very funny how he went about doing that. He enters his house, puts the chicken in the fridge, and ascends the stairs to his solemn office.

Once inside, Breen is feeling a bit lonely and is looking outside. Then a brick flies through the window with a message. It’s from Kleiner, one of his old partners from Black Mesa (the research center from Half-Life 1). He is urging him to stop being a chicken stealing grump and come outside to play. Breen looks up at the calendar and sees that Christmas is nearly here and decides to try to get into the festivities outside, but is still a bit grumpy. He gets on his strider and rides around town.

Outside, everyone is having fun in the snow and decorating the Christmas tree (read: only Gordon uses the gravity gun *hint hint*). Breen continues touring around and breaks a power line on the way, knocking out his own house's power and allowing the chicken to (instantly) defrost and escape from the refrigerator.

Then, the playful robot mutt, Dog, unexpectedly whomps Breen with a gigantic snowball. In a terrible twist of fate, the stupid domesticated strider trips on one of the frozen chickens while Breen is lying prone on the ground, and falls his way. Just at that moment, the chicken, in a courageous act of his wise chicken logic, saves Breen from certain death.

Breen wakes up and sees before him the brave chicken that saved him--regardless of how he was previously destined to Breen's dinner plate. An immense joy overwhelms him as he realizes what this chicken is trying to tell him.

That night, something miraculous happens. Apparently Breen was always a Santa Clause at heart, and this chicken saving him provided the pure glee needed to perform (at night of course) the strange and embarrassing Santa Clause fantasy moment. Breen takes the chicken for a magical ride above the town of cs_italy:source and there the story ends in the clear moonlight.

A mysterious present is left at Breen’s door...
