To resolve the issue associated with the 512mb "out of memory" error message add the following line to the [VCache] section of your win.ini file: MaxFileCache = 524288 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
soldier1st Posted January 5, 2005 Share Posted January 5, 2005 once you apply the sp it fixes the 512 mb limitationif not follow what oftentired said but add MinFileCache=524288 and add ChunkSize=512 to the [VCache] section of your System.Ini fileit is not win.ini file cuzz there is no vcache in there,there is in system.iniif you try to add more than 512 ram,windows 98 will not start and give out of memory errors before windows starts,you must do this fix before you put more than 512 ram ini will be going to 1 gig of ram soon cuzz i need it badly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
