Thanks for a Great site and windows lovers of 98

I us windows 98 2nd and have updated with the service pack.

Works great! But i am wondering if the is any information on how windows 982nd

can use ram upto 1 gig of ram I need the extra ram to use the programs I work on.

Add as much RAM as you want to your system. To resolve the issue associated with the 512mb "out of memory" error message add the following line to the [VCache] section of your win.ini file: MaxFileCache = 524288

once you apply the sp it fixes the 512 mb limitation

if not follow what oftentired said but add MinFileCache=524288 and add ChunkSize=512 to the [VCache] section of your System.Ini file

it is not win.ini file cuzz there is no vcache in there,there is in system.ini

if you try to add more than 512 ram,windows 98 will not start and give out of memory errors before windows starts,you must do this fix before you put more than 512 ram in

i will be going to 1 gig of ram soon cuzz i need it badly
