Csimbi Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Hi all, tried searching on this - nothing showed up. Am I the only one with this problem? This is for Windows XP SP2 - I guess all the same for the others, too.A user's favourites are located here:%USERPROFILE%\FavoritesThere is a directory under this, called Links. I can delete this directory, however for some reason it's always re-created.Why does it keep coming back, and is there any way to prevent WinXP to do play this silly game? Thanks a lot in advance - it's been bothering me very much lately...
firefoxthebomb Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Download and install power toys for windows xp from microsoft web site and then run the Tweak UI program. Once in there go to Explorer and then remove the check mark from Show Links on Favorites Menu
Jeremy Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 You don't have to install tweak programs to close connections between folders, just edit the registry. The key is knowing how to do it, lol.
