Choose Change the way users log on or off.Uncheck Use the welcome screen. I also disabled Use fast user switching. After this operation you can get a box with more options. When you start there is also the administrators box instead of the terrible blue "amateurish" Welcomescreen.Maybe there's another way to solve your problem.

Why not a welcomescreen with nerdsmiling Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer dancing like crazy? hmmm.....maybe not...
