Hi there. I am blind, and when I needed to sign up for membership so that I could post to this forum, I wasn't able to do it because my text to speech screenreader cannot read pictures, Luckily I was able to get sighted assistance, but this is not always possible. Why do you have to use this silly picture system to sign up anyhow?

are you referring to the registration of the MSFN forum and more specifically the "Unique Security Code"? If so, they're not written in text, simply because people could write a script that would automate the process and flood the servers. Perhaps your speech software would work if the images uses the ALT attribute within the tag, it's what when an image doesn't load text is displayed in it's place or when you hover over the image. I know you can't see what I'm talking about, but maybe you might have an idea of it from a text refence or from the maker of your software
