heavenandthehell Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 how to format the hard drive using the xp cd?
Mchart Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 If you want to format a hard drive that does not have any windows OS files or windows page files on it, then right click on my computer - Manage - Disk Management. Right click on the partition/drive and click format. If you want to do a total re-format then just stick in the cd, reboot, select cd as boot device, and just go through the normal windows installation steps, and you will then come to the formatting/partitioning screen. You can then do whatever you want there.
