prathapml Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 This is actually the main problem with using an installed copy of windows on hardware different to the the one it was originally installed on.Make an unattended install disk to save yourself the worries.
Guimenez Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 i'm doing this because i can install windows xp in 5m already with nero, powerdvd anti-virus and office.its a great thing, but some computer doesn't acept and i want to know if someone can help me in this problem.thanks
prathapml Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 What you need to do, is to somehow get rid of the HAL for your mainboard (get it to use a generic one) before SysPrep-ing it. How to do it, has been outlined for win2k. But it seems to be not working with winxp.
