WTS Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I was wondering, I tried the /s and that worked except it still did an update and full system scan, I was wondering if there was a way to make it not update and do the scan as I would like to do that after installing all other appsThanks
Astalavista Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 pls use the search it has been discussed beforeu need to use pskill or taskill
WTS Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 sorry, did a search, and I didn't come up with a definite answer, thank you though for your answer, hopefully they integrate an easier method.
core22 Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 This works for me with Ad-Aware 1.05 SE Pro...ECHO.ECHO Installing Lavasoft AdAware 1.05 SE ProfessionalECHO Please Wait...start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\AdAware\aawsepro.exe /staskkill /IM hh.exe /Ftaskkill /IM Ad-Aware.exe /F
benners Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I have copied the Lavasoft directory from Progam Files to $OEM$\$Progs on the UA cd, the directory gets copied during setup and an sfx containing the files in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware runs through xplode. This works for me and whenever a new ref file is out I replace the one in $OEM$\$Progs and it is up to date
Astalavista Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 an alternative is to update your Adware SE Pro.grabe the new definition make a sfx throw your sfx to your runonceEX.cmd, batch or WPIbut u still will need taskill or pskill no way to get around that.
painkilla Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 i have this in my runonceex but adaware doesnt install at all. is this code wrong?REG ADD %KEY%\014 /VE /D "Adaware 1.05 SE" /fREG ADD %KEY%\014 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\adaware\aawsepro1.05.exe /s" /fREG ADD %KEY%\014 /V 2 /D "pskill.exe -t hh.exe" /fREG ADD %KEY%\014 /V 3 /D "pskill.exe -t Ad-Aware.exe" /f
