Hummm I just noticed the code I use for Windows XP SP2 in cmdlines.txt

"REGEDIT /S AllUsers.reg"

I forgot to add REGEDIT /S in front of AllUsers.reg when I tried

Anyone tried this way in Windows 2000? (of course with REG.EXE added to SYSTEM32)

EDIT: UNSUCCESFULL...

Ok, I have sucessfully switched to the svcpack.inf method...

Can I install DirectX 9.0c this way too (without having to do Re-Packaging)?

@Bilou_Gateux

I had some troubles with IE6 when I used your method until I put back thoses files you told me where not necessary:

README.CAB
Ce dossier peut être supprimé.txt
filelist.dat
iesetup.dir

I think this has to do with iesetup.ini wich is listing the downloaded files:

[Options]
Language=040C
Shell_Integration=0
Win95=0
Millen=0
NTx86=0
W2K=6.0.2800.1106
NTalpha=0
[Version]
Signature=Active Setup
[Downloaded Files]
BRANDING.CAB=1
Ce dossier peut être supprimé.txt=1
CRLUPD.CAB=1
filelist.dat=1
ie6setup.exe=1
IEEXINST.CAB=1
iesetup.dir=1
iesetup.ini=1
IEW2K_1.CAB=1
IEW2K_2.CAB=1
IEW2K_3.CAB=1
IEW2K_4.CAB=1
MAILNEWS.CAB=1
MPLAY2U.CAB=1
OEEXCEP.CAB=1
README.CAB=1
SCRIPTFR.CAB=1
WAB.CAB=1

Rather than installing Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1) from cmdlines.txt, install it from SVCPACK.INF.

Copy all needed files in your i386\SVCPACK

BRANDING.CAB
CRLUPD.CAB
filelist.dat
ie6setup.exe
IEEXINST.CAB
iesetup.ini
IEW2K_1.CAB
IEW2K_2.CAB
IEW2K_3.CAB
IEW2K_4.CAB
MAILNEWS.CAB
MPLAY2U.CAB
OEEXCEP.CAB
WAB.CAB

SCRIPTFR.EXE

IE6START.EXE

That all the files needed for silent installation of IE6SP1.

Delete the existing <PREPDIR>CDROOT\I386\SVCPACK.IN_ file.

Create a new SVCPACK.INF file at <PREPDIR>CDROOT\i386\Svcpack.inf

Edit the <PREPDIR>CDROOT\I386\DOSNET.INF file by making the following changes:

Add the svcpack folder name to the [OptionalSrcDirs] section:

[OptionalSrcDirs]
SVCPACK
