import problems with thunderbird

hi there

i've been using outlook and am very happy with it, though i said let me try thunderbird and:

i'm trying to import my mail and my settings, but it gives me an error when i do that.

1 sec after i click import button it quits, the funny thing is i've too many emails and the 1st time i told it to import, the progress bar was moving and it felt like it was going to do something, i think at some point it overflowed and then it gave me an error, ever since that it keeps giving me errors, i could only import my contacts

so has anyone successfully imported their mails and settings?

is there a special list of things I've to do to import??

okay i just tried to import outlook express, it imported my mails and contacts but not my settings.

and outlook doesn't appear in the first message box asking for imports
