proxy that works in firefox , not in IE

hello people!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the proxy to work. set the proxy in ie, but it won't use the rules (deny access etc.), and yet with the same settings, things are blocked (sites that is) in firefox!!

the proxy is set the same, and the port is the same, but works in firefox not IE!!

it's pretty difficult to explain unfortunatly, hoe it's clear enough

any idea guys? basically it doesn't want to use the proxy even though it was set. any idea how to write a script? would that make any difference?

it might be a setting inside windows. because a computer at my moms office has no proxy settings, and it still tryies to get through a proxi. im not sure how IE did this.. but it looks like it completely screwed up that computer.

btw, i still need help with this problems ^^^^ lol
