The_CyberShadow Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 http://boothack.xaker.ru/(click on Progress for the tasty info)This basically means that the boot screen can now be completely customized. The only limit is that it's still 16 colors (though the palette can be arbitrarily changed) and it's still VGA 640x480, which means anything too graphical-intensive will lag.I'm looking for ideas to add a quick animation (the boot screen is displayed maximum 5 seconds on modern computers). This should work on all versions/service packs of Windows XP, though I still have to figure out how to make an universal patcher.
xneogen Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Cool! Where to get the complete sources for animation creation? Would be cool to get this. I saw you are using FreePascal? I'm thinking about a Bootscreen which looks something like BeOS Cheers, xneogen
IceBlackIce Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 it seems a great idea...keep up the good work
despal Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I'm looking for ideas to add a quick animation (the boot screen is displayed maximum 5 seconds on modern computers).Isn't it weird that my Athlon XP 3000+ displays it for 17 solid seconds? Great site btw. That thing with the palettes drives me crazy. NO MORE HEX EDITING PLEASE //EDIT: How do you compile this?
machkris Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Can someone HELP me?I am trying to make my Boot Screen look like the one , but when Windows is booting up it is showing up as these LAST_SESSION.INI with distorted colors. Which file I need to edit in the Windows XP Pro CD and what do I need to do to correct this problem?
