MCT Posted December 11, 2004 Share Posted December 11, 2004 im a networking novice & am trying 2 share a few folders & internet connectionthe connection works, but the pcs dont "see" each other, they ONLY share internethow can i share my "music" folder? i right clicked, sharing tab, & selected sharing for the file , but i cant see it in the other pc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

army20 Posted December 11, 2004 Share Posted December 11, 2004 Also try to connect manualy to the hosting computer:Click Start --> Run --> \\Computername\C$Computername can also be the ip adress of the hosting computer.Replace C$ if your music folder is on another drive.It's gonna ask you for a password. (I hope, otherwise it's not well protected) Because C$ is an administrative share, you will have to enter the password of an administrator group member.If this is working, you should be able to map your share.
