Is it possible to remotely access winpe from another PC? VNC, PCA, anything?

Theoretically, it should be possible.

Try VNC.

Well, that didn't work. I keep getting an "unable to open socket" error. I'll have to ask my TAM to check with the WinPE guys at MS to see if it's possible.

Nope. You cant do it.

WinPE does NOT accept incoming connections, hence you cant use it as a server in any way.

Agreed, the server service is not started and also not included.

Symantec's "LIVE STATE RECOVERY" product (V2i replacement) has PC Anywhere built in to the recovery CD. As long as you own a copy of pcAnywhere, you can connect to the Host on their WINPE CD.

Based on this... It is possible.
