Registering Opera 7.54 and DVD Free Region 5.05

How can I register Opera 7.54? May I use a reg file? Is my license stored in some file in my pc so that I can copy it into Opera's folder? I have the same questions about DVD Free Region 5.05...

I don't know about DVD-region free. Maybe it needs just a registry entry.

But opera I do know.

1. When you enter your key in opera after installing, you will see that this file is updated:

C:\Program Files\Opera76\OUsr600.dat

2. That is your license file and you need to copy it over to the new installation, that is all.

The license is the same for the entire 7.x series (i.e., same ousr600.dat can be used for opera 7.0, 7.2, 7.5, and even 7.60 beta).

The opera folder name might change according to your version. And the method you use to copy over the file can be possible in many ways too. What I do, is to put that file on my CD at "\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\".

And then have this command run from one of the batch-files:

copy /Y %systemdrive%\install\Applications\ousr600.dat "%ProgramFiles%\Opera76"

Change the paths according to your circumstances. Also, you can do the file-copying to opera folder in any other way too, its not compulsory to use batch-files alone.

I really don't know what language of XP you have. But whatever variable is referring to your ProgramFiles path (from the command SET in a command prompt) will be the one you have to use.

Thanks for your suggestion hulala.[uk]. I have Win XP Pro in spanish but it reconizes %ProgramFiles% instead of %Archivosdeprograma% or %Archivos de programa% I don't know why but it does
